MRS. BRAGDON HAS DECADES OF EXPERIENCE IN ESTATE PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION.

Cindy has extensive experience in the estate planning and trust world, having worked for over twenty years as an estate and trust paralegal and nearly fifteen years as a trust officer. She holds the CFP ® (Certified Financial Planner®) and the CTFA (Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor) designations. She incorporates her knowledge and experience working with clients to design estate planning strategies to meet clients’ goals and to provide for the seamless transition of management of assets during lifetime, and in the event of advanced age, incapacity, or death. Her experience includes working with a client’s other advisors to ensure a tax-efficient transfer of wealth at death, incorporating philanthropic goals, and protecting the family’s assets.
Cindy values working with a client’s team of advisors during the estate planning process, including investment managers, legal and tax advisors, and insurance professionals. Having all of the players at the table when conceptualizing a complex estate plan ensures that the client’s intentions are met and all facets of the plan are considered. Cindy has extensive experience facilitating or “quarterbacking” an advisory team to strategize and design a plan, put the plan in place, and coordinate the execution and implementation of the plan. Cindy also advocates for regular plan reviews and recommends adjustments when warranted due to changing circumstances or laws.
Cindy’s experience as a trust officer has given her a valuable understanding of working with the client, their spouse, and family. Communication, she believes, is one of the most critical aspects of a professional advisor. Cindy firmly believes family meetings are a valuable part of the planning process if the circumstances warrant. She encourages clients to have a family meeting to communicate to the family members the critical and conceptual aspects of their plan, answer questions, and introduce the people who will help when that “life event” happens. Communicating your intentions and reasons for decisions sometimes goes a long way to preserving and encouraging family harmony. Cindy has years of experience in facilitating and leading such meetings in a comfortable and professional manner.
Cindy is currently serving on the Pathways Board of Directors. She is also on the Regional Development Counsel of the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado and the Fort Collins Symphony Endowment Fund Board of Directors. She served over fourteen years on the Board of Directors of Project Self-Sufficiency.

Clients of Vital Investment Management are fortunate to have access to an expert and advocate in Trust and Estate navigation.
